Zepco Technologies Shatters World Record with Indigenous Propulsion System

Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup Zepco Technologies has made history by powering an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to a record-breaking altitude with its indigenously developed propulsion system.

The UAV, carrying a hefty 30 kg payload, soared to an impressive 19,024 feet at Umling La Pass, the highest motorable pass in the world. The total take-off weight of 100 kg underscores the motors’ exceptional performance in the challenging high-altitude, low-air density environment.

This groundbreaking accomplishment opens up exciting possibilities for transporting heavy equipment to high altitudes, potentially revolutionizing climate research, surveillance, defense, and other crucial applications.

Dr. Ramesh Srinivasan, Founder and Managing Director of Zepco, expressed immense pride in the startup’s rapid development of world-record-setting propulsion systems in just two years. He emphasized that their high-efficiency, high-power motor systems truly embody the spirit of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat,’ being a genuine ‘Made in India’ product.

Harsha Venkatesh, Founder and Chief Marketing Officer, echoed the sentiment, stating, “As our name suggests, Zepco is dedicated to delivering solutions for the next generation. This is just the beginning of our journey!”

With this remarkable achievement, Zepco Technologies has solidified its position as a trailblazer in the motor manufacturing industry, boldly venturing into unexplored territories and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
