Delhi: — That Sassy Thing, the women-first sexual wellness brand, has raised ₹6 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV). The funding round also saw participation from prominent entrepreneurs like Bala Sarda (Vahdam Teas), Saurabh Munjal (Lahori Zeera), Kirti Jangra (Animall Technologies), and Chandigarh Angels Network (CAN).
Founded in 2021 by Sachee Malhotra and Himanshu Bhalla, That Sassy Thing is reimagining the sexual wellness space in India with a bold, stigma-free, and pleasure-positive approach. The brand’s product range—including full-body massagers, aloe-based lubricants, and intimate washes—is designed for safety, discretion, and comfort. What sets it apart is its strong educational focus, including India’s first free, credible sex-ed masterclasses, which won the UN Laadli Media & Advertising Award for Gender Sensitivity in 2024.
“This isn’t just about selling products—it’s a cultural intervention,” said Vinay Bansal, Founder and CEO of IPV. “That Sassy Thing is addressing a massive gap in women’s wellness and education, which remains chronically underserved in India. We are proud to support a brand that’s transforming how women see and care for themselves.”
“We believe sexual wellness needs a complete rebrand,” said Sachee Malhotra, co-founder. “For too long, women have been ignored or objectified in this space. We’re focused on providing safe, shame-free solutions for real issues—vaginal wellness, PCOS, menopause—along with credible education.”
Himanshu Bhalla added, “The market is massive and barely scratched. With growing awareness and changing attitudes, we’re confident in building India’s largest women-centric sexual wellness brand.”
The founders bring over two decades of combined experience in D2C, wellness, and creative brand strategy. Sachee, a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, has worked with brands like Arata and Damensch, while Himanshu, an alumnus of Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, has led creative work for Manforce, UNESCO, and Penguin.
As the Indian sexual wellness market eyes a ₹24,000 crore valuation by 2030, That Sassy Thing is carving out a space that’s equal parts commerce, culture, and community—rooted in body literacy, emotional healing, and female empowerment.
This latest fundraise will be used to expand product lines, scale distribution, and strengthen brand and content initiatives, further fueling the company’s mission to make pleasure and wellness accessible for all women.
