In a move to revolutionize temple administration, Temple Connect, fresh off the success of the International Temples Convention & Expo (ITCX), has unveiled India’s first Postgraduate Diploma program in Temple Management. This six-month course aims to bring a professional edge to temple operations, focusing on technology, sustainability, and inclusivity.
The program, launched at the University of Mumbai and Welingkar Institute, is set to expand to Savitribai Phule Pune University. It features a rigorous curriculum, including three months of classroom training and a three-month internship at renowned temples. The faculty boasts experienced professionals with hands-on temple management expertise.
Admission is open to graduates from recognized universities with a background in temple administration or a strong desire to gain practical experience through internships. The course, delivered in person and through internships, accommodates 30 students per batch.
The program’s development was led by a committee of experts in temple management, chaired by Dr. Suresh Haware, and including Shri Giresh Kulkarni (Founder of Temple Connect & ITCX), MLC Shri Prasad Lad, and prominent figures from universities and Welingkar Institute. Temple Connect curated the course content, translating the collective vision into a structured program.
Further bolstering this initiative, numerous temples across India are offering scholarships, and Temple Connect has established an open scholarship fund for students in need.
This groundbreaking course is set to equip participants with the skills to manage temple ecosystems efficiently, incorporating modern expertise and strategic foresight.
