Jakson Infra Secures $62 Million Power Project in Angola

New Delhi — Jakson Infra has been awarded a power distribution project in Angola valued at $62.22 million by the country’s Ministry of Energy & Water, according to the company.

The project is part of the World Bank-supported Electricity Sector Improvement and Access Project (ESIAP). It involves the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of distribution network upgrades in Luanda, Angola’s capital city.

The work is aimed at rehabilitating existing infrastructure to improve electricity reliability and expand access for residents in Luanda. The contract includes engineering, procurement, and full execution of distribution network systems.

Raghav Gupta, Managing Director of Jakson Infra, said the contract reflects confidence from the Angolan ministry and the World Bank in the company’s ability to deliver large-scale infrastructure projects.

The project forms part of Angola’s broader efforts to modernize its energy systems and increase electricity access. According to the announcement, it also supports Jakson Infra’s expansion in international markets, particularly in Africa, and strengthens its presence in the power transmission and distribution sector.
