New Delhi: – Olympiad gold medal-winning coach Grandmaster Srinath Narayanan has joined global online chess academy Chessbrainz as brand ambassador. The collaboration, facilitated by MGD1, aims to strengthen structured chess education across 50+ countries.

Srinath, one of India’s leading chess coaches and a mentor to players like Arjun Erigaisi and Nihal Sarin, will contribute to enhancing Chessbrainz’s curriculum, developing its coaching framework, and providing students with direct access to high-level training. The partnership also includes the use of his name and image in training initiatives.
“Chess education is evolving, and platforms like Chessbrainz are making structured learning accessible to more players,” said GM Srinath. “I’m excited to mentor young talent and work with trainers to create an environment where players can grow.”
MGD1, which previously facilitated Arjun Erigaisi’s first sponsorship, played a key role in bringing this collaboration to life. “Pairing Srinath with Chessbrainz felt like the right move,” said Sreekar Channapragada, MGD1. “It strengthens the platform and gives students insights from an experienced trainer.”
Chessbrainz, with over 150 FIDE-rated coaches, offers 24/7 training, weekly tournaments, and structured assignments. With Srinath on board, the academy plans to refine its programs and bring advanced insights into its learning ecosystem.
“Having Srinath adds a new dimension to what we offer,” said Pratik Vaidya, Founder, Chessbrainz. “His experience gives students a unique opportunity to learn from one of the best. We thank MGD1 for facilitating this partnership.”
The collaboration is set to bring long-term value to the global chess community, offering students elite-level mentorship and reinforcing MGD1’s mission of connecting top talent with growth-focused platforms.
