Mumbai: JioCinema, a leading digital entertainment platform in India, has announced the appointment of Ishan Chatterjee as its new Chief Business Officer. This move underscores the company’s ambition to enhance its technological capabilities and provide innovative digital experiences to its growing audience.
In his new role, Chatterjee will oversee the monetization strategy for JioCinema, focusing on revenue generation from sports and small to medium-sized business (SMB) growth within both the sports and entertainment sectors. His expertise comes from a robust background in digital media; prior to joining JioCinema, he served as Managing Director at YouTube India, where he significantly influenced the platform’s strategic direction and expansion.
With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Chatterjee’s career includes 13 years at Google and valuable roles at McKinsey & Company and Hindustan Unilever. He holds degrees from The Wharton School and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
Chatterjee will be an integral part of JioCinema’s leadership team and will work closely with Kiran Mani, further solidifying the company’s commitment to growth in the digital entertainment space.
