Tata Elxsi Secures €50 Million Engineering Deal

Mumbai: — Tata Elxsi, a global design and technology services leader, has announced a strategic multi-year engineering partnership worth €50 million with a major European automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The deal marks a significant milestone in Tata Elxsi’s growing role as a key enabler of next-generation, software-led mobility solutions.

Under the agreement, Tata Elxsi will set up a dedicated Global Engineering Centre to support the OEM’s software-defined vehicle (SDV) platform roadmap, spanning key automotive domains such as electrification, body and chassis systems, and cloud-native development. The centre will also develop a proprietary technology stack that includes an in-house operating system, automotive cloud integration, and advanced electronic architectures—forming the digital foundation for connected, upgradeable, and future-ready vehicle platforms.

The company was selected for its deep domain expertise across critical automotive areas, including infotainment, cybersecurity, and vehicle architecture, combined with its global delivery capabilities and proven ability to align with customer software roadmaps.

“We are delighted to partner with one of the world’s leading automotive and mobility providers, playing a key role in their journey towards scalable, software-led mobility,” said Manoj Raghavan, CEO & MD, Tata Elxsi.
“This engagement marks a significant step in our strategy to enable next-generation mobility through platform-centric, software-led engineering.”

The announcement also aligns with Tata Elxsi’s recent investments in proprietary mobility solutions. These include:

  • AVENIR™, a cloud-agnostic SDV development framework for modular software engineering
  • AUTONOMAI, an ADAS suite
  • TETHER, a connected vehicle platform
  • MOBIUS+, a digital product passport system

The company’s expanding portfolio—combined with its global Mobility Innovation Centres—strengthens its leadership in software-defined and electrified vehicle development.

This deal is part of Tata Elxsi’s broader vision to lead the convergence of design, digital, and engineering, serving global OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers with end-to-end automotive technology solutions. The partnership cements its role as a trusted long-term player in shaping the future of the automotive industry.
